Hey, my friend and I (Jake and Phil from Olin) played pickup with you guys last spring a few times. We find ourselves in Rockland again this weekend and would love to come play - however, we don't have a car or other means of transportation. Is there an easy way to get down to GSB? Perhaps someone lives near Rockland and would be willing to give us a ride? :) We don't really have internet so give us a call or text at 425-241-8096.

Thank you so much for a wonderful game! We all had a real blast and would love to play again. Right now we're brainstorming dates for a midcoast hat tourney. In the meantime, you are welcome to join our Sunday afternoon games any time. It's a lot more low-key than the tournament play and it's a great game in the true spirit of ultimate :) We're about an hour North of Portland.

Though we were handily defeated in our 3rd game of the day. Dam Fast's team at GTLO was an amazing team to play against! ( and lose to ) So great, I had to look up your website to thank you for such an awesome time!

Anytime you want to set up a scrimmage with some Portland players let me know.

Just wondering if you all are still playing...didn't see any recent posts.
I was really excited to hear about your group. I played in college (many, many years ago) and would love to start playing again. My girlfriend has never played, but we throw the disc around a lot and play disc golf, and would love play ultimate and get in shape and meet some new people.
Look forward to hearing back...may head up there today to check it out.

hi! i'm thinking of making the trip from camden to damariscotta tomorrow for pick up, because i can't find anywhere else to play! i talked to "scott" at the common ground fair about pick up in belfast, and he said he'd email me, but he hasn't. do you know scott? he invited me to clambake, and i don't know if i can come, but he said DamFast needed girls. and i'm a girl. and i love ultimate. i have played frisbee in high school and college, and really want to get back into it now that i've graduated. any info you have would be very helpful, and (maybe) see you tomorrow -

Turns out that 5ultimate needs 20 business days to turn around a custom design, so I think that's out of the question -- makes things easy!

Fab design, Josh. If DamFast has any lasting power, we might want to go with the Five Ultimate shirts so they'll last longer. Hey just checked Five Ultimate's website and it looks like they have very limited colors and very limited sizes in each color. Doesn't look like that will work...unless I'm missing something on the website. So probably best to go with Liberty shirts. Re: the unibrow, I'd just go with the standard issue buddha brows.

I think adding that info would cool, helping to make the shirt more unique.

I also wonder about where to get the shirts printed. Bruce and Perry suggested Liberty printing, in Maine. They do the Common Ground Fair shirts. But Five Ultimate prints on athletic jerseys which would be more pleasant to wear.

Liberty shirts would cost approximately $18.

Five Ultimate would cost approximately $24.

What do you all think?

I like it a lot. You kept the design idea of the droopy Buddha eyes (totally asleep, and yet totally aware).

Maybe lighten up on the brows a bit? He seems to be trending toward the una-brow. If they were thinned from below, maybe raised just a dite, it would move toward the more amazed (arched) eyebrows and the partially closed (how boring) look of the eyes. It's all in the implied contradiction of "eyes wide shut"

Monochrome is great (the original is strikingly garish).

I can "see" what you did, and I like it.

I'm new to 52pickup, so I can't quite figure out who you are, but sorry to hear about the ankle and glad it's expected to heal soon.

We had 3-on-3 Sunday, my second time playing with y'all. The teams were chosen by who happened to be wearing light and dark shirts, which turned out to be young vs. old. The old folks started off strong, scoring the first half-dozen or so points, but soon the kids realized that they had skills and starting using them. It seemed pretty even all day, although when we played to 5 at the end the youngsters beat us, 5-2 I think, on a few really close plays.

I'll be away next week, but should be back 8/23 and from them on almost every Sunday until it gets too cold for my old bones. My rule is that the temperature has to be at least my age, although sometimes I stretch it a little bit in the fall.

I'd post this under "Week in Review" if I knew how.
